The Gratitude Journey

external-file_edited.jpg

In today's world of instant gratification and entitlement, gratitude seems to have slipped in importance. However, when our feelings of gratefulness are real and authentic, gratitude has the power to improve physical well-being, connect families and communities, and soothe anxiety and depression. That's the "why" behind gratitude, and it's steeped in research. But what about the "how?" In this two-part series, we'll learn more about the "why" before going below the surface to help you come up with a gratitude strategy that's unique to you. In our two forty-five minute live classes, we'll discuss:

  • gratitude and the brain.

  • how to foster dispositional gratitude and make it a part of our lives.

  • avoiding the dark side of gratitude (yes, there is a dark side).

  • holding contrary emotions, such as gratitude and suffering.

  • the importance of dosing gratitude strategies.

  • how to create the habit of gratitude in a way that's authentic and honest.

  • your gratitude journal and how to use it in a way that can deepen your gratitude pratice.

  • And more!

There will be a question and answer period, and you will also be given a detailed handout for easy reference and note taking.

Registration is limited to ten students.
